Matsukawa Hot Springs Matsukawaso

Another inn in the same remote Matsukawa cluster, also fed by sulfur spring water, here it runs milky white. The mixed outdoor bath has an open, unhurried feel with river sounds nearby and, in winter, the white steam and white snow blending into each other. Getting here requires a serious drive, but regulars say that is part of the point.
