About
A small public bathhouse in Akiu Onsen (秋保温泉, Akiu Onsen), tucked into the hot spring district of Sendai. The indoor bath is compact, the water clear and faintly salty with almost no scent, and it runs as kakenagashi (源泉かけ流し, unrecirculated natural spring water). Facilities are minimal: a few washing stations and a ticket machine at the entrance. The crowd is mostly local regulars, and the atmosphere is unhurried sento-style. Bring your own towel and soap.
