Kuru Plaza Pirika is a ski-lodge hotel with an attached campground, and its onsen bath is open to day visitors as well as overnight guests. The indoor bath sits behind a wall of glass that looks onto the forest through the seasons, and the outdoor bath is ringed by trees, with squirrels and small birds sometimes visible from the tub. The water is clear and faintly salty, and leaves the skin feeling smooth. There's a sauna and a cold bath, plus a spacious rest area to unwind in afterward. The restaurant serves lunch to day visitors too, though dinner and breakfast are for overnight guests only.
