All four baths at this small ryokan in Tsuchiyu Onsen (土湯温泉) are private and reserved by time slot, so you never share the water. The spring runs kakenagashi (源泉かけ流し) throughout. Three of the baths are open-air or semi-open to the surrounding forest; detached room suites have their own outdoor bath directly off the bedroom. The setting is deep in the trees, with a stream audible from the outdoor baths.
