Gamadagawaso sits on the Gamada River in Okuhida Onsengo, in the mountains of Gifu. The ryokan has five baths: two open-air rotenburo, separate indoor baths for men and women, and a private family bath. The open-air baths can also be reserved for private use. The water from Shinhotaka Onsen flows through fresh and unrecirculated (kakenagashi), and feels soft against the skin. The rotenburo close in winter, but the indoor baths are available around the clock.
