A bicarbonate spring led by sodium with strong calcium and magnesium contributions, layered with chloride and sulfate sub-types. Wellhead temperature near 69 °C places it among Japan's hottest natural sources — the water arrives hot without supplemental heating. Neutral pH keeps the feel gentle on the skin, and the bicarbonate dominance puts it squarely in the Japanese beauty-water family.

Smooth skin

Bicarbonate and alkalinity gently lift dead keratin while silica hydrates, leaving skin smooth. This is the basis of the beautifying-water (bijin-no-yu 美人の湯) reputation.

Skin-absorbed CO₂ and hydrogen sulfide relax the vessel walls; carbon-dioxide springs can raise peripheral blood flow several-fold.
