About

Komagatake Onsen sits between two mountain streams in the Mizusawa onsen area, about 15 minutes from Tazawako Station. The bath building has separate gender-divided sides, each with an indoor bath and an outdoor bath. For something more private, there is a separate kashikiri rotenburo (貸切露天風呂) right by the river, bookable by the hour. The water is clear with a faint sulfur note and flows fresh from the inn's own spring without recirculation. Guests can also take the inn's evening shuttle to Tsurunoyu (鶴の湯), a well-known milky mixed-bath onsen nearby.
