Ni 岐 Onsen Yu Koya Ryokan

A small, intimate ryokan in the Futamata valley of Fukushima, set above the river at about 800 metres elevation. The two open-air baths (野天風呂, notenburo) sit right on the gorge, and the simple alkaline spring water is clean and mild. The manager knows the valley's history and culture inside-out and shares that knowledge readily. Baths operate on a private-group rental system, one hour exclusive to your party, making it a genuinely secluded soak in the mountain forest.
