Reception for day-use bathing closes at 16:00 even though the bath itself stays open until 17:00. Day-use is only offered during the regular season (roughly late April to late October); the property closes for winter, when a separate reservation-only overnight plan operates, reached by a multi-hour walk in.
Basic entry to the day-use-only outdoor bath, Yuhara-no-Yu (湯原の湯), is 950 yen per adult. Two reserved day-trip plans cost more: 3,300 yen for up to 3 hours with a light meal at the Yuhara-no-Yu dining hall, or 6,600 yen for up to 6 hours with dinner at the Shosenkaku (招仙閣) main building from 18:00. Camping on site is 2,000 yen per person.

A remote mountain inn near the Azusa River trailhead with an unusually large collection of baths, around 17 in total, indoors and out, all fed by 29 registered springs, most running naturally hot at over 90°C and cooled without chemicals or recirculation. The simple sulfur water is alkaline enough to leave skin noticeably smooth. Highlights include a waterfall bath (Shirataki no Yu), a bath inside hollowed tree roots, and a moongazing rotenburo (露天風呂) at the highest point of the grounds.
