Motoyu Magokuro (元湯 孫九郎) sits in Fukuchi Onsen, the quietest of the Okuhida hot-spring villages, and has been drawing its own springs since the 1970s. The outdoor bath, Ao-no-Yu (蒼の湯), is a short walk from the main building through forested grounds and normally fills with greenish-brown cloudy water from blended springs. An indoor bath, Dayu (大湯), runs clear water that guests can also drink at the tap. Private rental baths, both outdoor and indoor, are free to use without a reservation. All baths run on fresh spring water with no recirculation. The inn also has a small listening room fitted with vintage JBL Paragon speakers, open to guests in the evening.
