588. Grand Mercure Yatsugatake Resort & Spa, Hokuto, Yamanashi Modern hotel. Visited for higaeri at 2000 yen. Higaeri hours from 15:00 to 21:00. In the Yamanashi 100 Onsen stamp book, this place is listed under a different name — staff ran around (literally) with my stamp book between offices, and eventually stamped a different stamp that fit the space. Before the bath area there's a very nice lounge. Bath photos from the internet match reality. 1. Indoor area. Breathing inside is comfortable. 1.1. Bath with clear water, temperature around 41-42°C. 1.2. Sauna. 1.3. Cold bath. 2. Outdoor bath in stone, no view behind a fence. Clear water, temperature around 40°C. The place looks quite nice, but it's overpriced — more interesting rotenburo can be found at other higaeri onsens in this area. 15.05.2025
