About

Donguri-no-Yu (どんぐりの湯) is a two-floor day-use onsen in the mountains of Toyota city. The building uses local hinoki cypress and cedar throughout, and the baths are split into two themed floors: 1F Hana-no-Onsen (花の温泉), built around flowers, and 2F Mori-no-Onsen (森の温泉), with a forest feel. The two floors rotate between men and women each week, so the bath you get depends on when you visit. Each floor has indoor baths, open-air rotenburo with views of the surrounding mountains, a high-temperature sauna, and a cold bath. Several of the outdoor baths and the steam sauna use Dando-ishi, a locally quarried stone from nearby Dando-san mountain. The spring water itself is clear and nearly odorless. A restaurant is attached.
