Taihei-no-yu is a large day-use bathhouse on the Tarumi coast in Kobe, facing the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and Awaji Island. The water isn't a natural hot spring, so the draw is variety: an indoor hall with a hot bath, a cold plunge, jet baths, and both sitting and standing electric baths, and an outdoor side with a carbonated bath, a silk bath, a bubble bath, tsubo-yu (壺湯) jar tubs, and a lie-down bath. A tower sauna with regular auto-loyly sits next to an outdoor salt sauna and a misted sauna, and four kinds of ganbanyoku (岩盤浴) stone-bed saunas run with no time limit. There's a restaurant and a rest area too. It draws local families by day and gets livelier with younger crowds on weekend nights, so early weekday hours are the quiet option.
