624. INFINITO HOTEL & SPA, Shirahama, Wakayama (pt.3) ★★ Onsen: 3. Sora - second M/F bath set. 3.1. Large outdoor bath. Cool view of the city and bay. Technically designed as an infinity bath, but the view hits a clear glass barrier. Clear water, 40 degrees. Seating area to the left of the bath. 3.2. Indoor bath. Clear water, 42 degrees. Barely breathable inside. 3.3. Sauna. 3.4. Cold bath. 4. Subaru - semi-open-air bath with a "pearl." View of the bay and partially the city. An atmospheric cozy bath with unique architecture. Technically designed as an infinity bath, but the view hits a clear glass barrier. Clear water, 40 degrees. By design this bath is accessible from either bath set, but during my stay it was "linked" to the second one. Great hotel, recommended for staying in Shirahama. Without the insect issues and the glass barriers on the infinity baths, I'd rate it even higher. 16.06.2025 17.06.2025

624. INFINITO HOTEL & SPA, Shirahama, Wakayama (pt.2) ★★ Onsen: 2. Umi - first M/F bath set. 2.1. Outdoor bath. Nice view of the city and bay. Technically designed as an infinity bath, but the view hits a clear glass barrier. Clear water, 41 degrees. Visited near midnight - no insects. 2.2. Indoor sunken bath with edge seating. View from the indoor bath is of the showers, but sitting in it is incredibly cozy - I didn't want to leave even more than from the outdoor bath of this set. Clear water, 40 degrees. Breathable inside. 2.3. Sauna. 2.4. Cold bath. 16.06.2025 17.06.2025

624. INFINITO HOTEL & SPA, Shirahama, Wakayama (pt.1) ★★ Stayed overnight without meals. Private baths available for 3990 (didn't try). Higaeri for 1540, stated as 11:00 to 14:00. Higaeri plans with food available. They issue Toreco cards for the onsen. Modern hotel. They have Western rooms (some with in-room onsen) and Japanese rooms (without balcony onsen). I took the Western one. Some toiletries in the room were Bulgari. Public baths rotate between M/F. The hotel has a small gym and outdoor pool. Booked dinner and breakfast for one, served in a shared dining room; dinner was kaiseki. Breakfast was Western-style. Dinner was excellent - after two consecutive nights of budget kaiseki at two different good ryokan, the higher quality here was immediately noticeable. On service - staff was Japanese, formalities were strictly observed at reception, dinner service was also good. I left my luggage after checkout, and when I came back for it, they separately counted out 120 yen - turns out I'd left some coins on the table mixed in with trash. Visited in June, and there were insect issues: they got into the room in the first half of the day (some mosquitoes, small cockroaches, and gnats). The hotel is on a hill but my room was close to ground level - possibly a factor. But in the evening and at night, insects weren't a problem. Onsen: 1. Private bath in the room on the balcony. View of the bay and city. Clear water, 42.5 degrees. No insects encountered during daytime or late-night visits. 16.06.2025 17.06.2025
