466. Hotel Shiragiku, Beppu ★★★ Stayed overnight, located close to Beppu Station. They stamp the Beppu Onsen-do book. Available only for guests, no higaeri. Breakfast was a good buffet on the upper floors of the hotel with a great view. Two bath sets with male/female rotation — a powerful main one and a simpler secondary one. 1. Main bath set by male/female rotation. 1.1. Huge outdoor stone bath. No view, but in the evening everything looks amazing — the fence is decorated with rocks, there are two roofed zones, and the bath is large. The rotenburo is actually located downtown, yet at this quality level. Clear water, temperature 40-41 depending on the spot. 1.2. Large indoor bath with clear water, temperature 42. Air inside is good. 2. Secondary bath set by male/female rotation. Bath photos from the internet, accurate. 2.1. Semi-enclosed outdoor bath with no view. Clear water, temperature 40-41. 2.2. Indoor bath designed as a passage from one zone to another, even connecting to the outdoor bath. The indoor baths have a nice intimate atmosphere — the location feels cave-like/basement-like but civilized. Comfortable to breathe inside. 2.2.1. Main indoor bath. Clear water, temperature 40-41. 2.2.2. Second indoor bath. Clear water, temperature 42. 2.2.3. Bubble bath, clear water, temperature 40.
