195. Kirakubou, Gotemba ★ An old super sento that has seen a lot of life. I paid 1540, and that includes a rental bag, pants, shirt, three small towels, and one large towel. There are private baths, I did not use them, massage, chill-out areas, a dining area, massage chairs, a shop, and a few arcade machines. They stamp 60 Shizuoka onsen. The view of Fuji is very unclear, and there are no good photos, so I attached the ad from the official site. I cannot confirm it for sure, because on the day I went Fuji was not visible at all. The site says it can be seen in good weather. As I understood it, there is a good view from one of the private baths, and from the public bath it seems to be from a certain angle or a special spot. 1. Outdoor bath area. 1.1. Large stone bath with a roof. The water is clear, temperature 41, slight chlorine smell. 1.2. Another exactly the same large bath with a roof. I did not notice any differences. 1.3. Solid sauna with places to lie down. 1.4. Cold bath. 1.5. Some kind of tent sauna outside or something like that. I did not understand its purpose and it was closed. 2. First indoor area. 2.1. Main bath, clear water, temperature 43. 2.2. Carbonated bath with a TV, clear water, temperature 38-39. Because of the bath temperature and the TV, there are a lot of old men and guys. 2.3. Sauna. 2.4. Cold bath. 3. Second indoor area. 3.1. Main bath, clear water, temperature 43. 3.2. Salt bath, the water is clear, the temperature is more on the warm side. The saltiness is very noticeable, all the insect bites on my legs started stinging right away. They ask you to wash in the shower after it before using the other baths. The site says they import salt from the Dead Sea and dissolve it in the onsen. 3.3. Separate barrel-like box for one person. The water is red, herbal in color. I did not get in, the old men were using it all the time. 3.4. Sauna. 3.5. Cold-water bath. An interesting place with a decent number of baths and saunas, including some rare ones. If you are traveling around Gotemba, it is worth stopping by, and it also makes sense to visit the neighboring super sento 御殿場高原 源泉 茶目湯殿 right away, just a few minutes away.
