About
Ukenoguchi Onsen (筌の口温泉) is a no-frills communal bath run by the local residents association. The setup is simple: one large hot bath and a small cold plunge, no showers, no amenities. What draws people is the water itself, which is iron-scented and cloudy with a yellowish tint, flowing fresh in kakenagashi style. The old bathhouse has a worn, lived-in feel that regulars clearly appreciate.
