Sen Te Onsen Sen Nen No Yu

Sente Onsen Sennen no Yu (千手温泉 千年の湯) has two distinct indoor bath areas, a stone-and-river-pebble bath and a cypress bath, that alternate weekly between men and women. Each side has its own outdoor baths set at different temperatures, a dry sauna, and a cold plunge. The water is kakenagashi moor spring water that leaves skin noticeably smooth, widely considered a beauty spring by regulars. A private family bath is available by reservation, and a free covered foot bath sits outside for anyone to use. Upstairs from the changing rooms there is a tatami napping area, an unusual touch for a day-use facility. Open since 2001, it draws a steady local crowd.
