Kotori-no-yu

Kotori no Yu (not far from Nagano) Cozy super sento away from the city hustle. Has indoor and outdoor baths, a humid 50-degree sauna, a cafeteria-style restaurant, and a rest area with books. The design is interesting overall, wood decor everywhere and high ceilings. Downsides: no regular sauna. A shame — so much space and they couldn't fit one. Outside there are several rotenburo, but the one with the view has a mini fence that blocks the view when sitting in the water. Overall 4 out of 5 stars. If you're driving near Nagano, it's a good spot to bathe and eat. Tattoos are allowed if smaller than 5 cm.
