Open even on Tuesdays that fall on public holidays, in summer, and around New Year, when the regular Tuesday closure is lifted. Last entry is 21:00, 30 minutes before closing.
500 yen for adults; 200 yen for elementary-school children and Hachijo Town residents aged 70 and over. A 12-visit ticket book is also sold for 5,000 yen (2,000 yen at the same discounted rate).

SeaA small town-run bathhouse on the south coast of Hachijojima, built right above the Pacific with ocean views from both the outdoor and indoor baths. On a clear night you can soak under a full sky of stars, and on a lucky day people say you can spot a whale out in the water. The water is a faintly greenish, salty spring that leaves the skin feeling smooth. There are two bath rooms, a calabash-shaped outdoor pool and an indoor one facing the island's lighthouse, and which one is for men and which for women swaps daily by odd or even date. A tatami rest room looks out over the same view.

Sueyoshi Onsen Miharashi-no-Yu — 500 yen but included in the bus pass, soap available, only Kirin milk, standard shower, there's a large tatami rest room (mixed gender). The bus stops right at the entrance. 2 baths — large indoor one at 41, and a large narrow outdoor one with an endless ocean view at 39. Beauty-wise, this is number one so far.
