YesHanare-no-yu (離れの湯) and Sanpo-no-yu (三宝の湯) close for winter from mid-November through March.
Adults 700 yen, children 400 yen, infants free. Private bath Kodakara-no-yu (子宝の湯): 2,000 yen per group for 50 minutes. Last entry 14:30.

Tarobee Ryokan has been in the same family for twelve generations, sitting in the Oyasukyo Onsen (小安峡温泉) area of Akita. The main bath, Yakushi-no-yu (薬師の湯), has a vaulted ceiling of Akita cedar beams and a stone floor. Alongside it are Toki-no-yu (陶喜の湯), a specialty bath whose tub is lined with Kurikoma-yaki (栗駒焼) pottery, and Kaze-no-yu (風の湯), the single open-air bath. A detached bath, Sanpo-no-yu (三宝の湯), sits up an outside staircase and is closed in winter. A private reserved bath rounds out the options. The water is clear and smooth on the skin.
