Hakuen no Yu (白猿の湯) is one of two public baths in the small onsen district of Tawarayama (俵山) in Nagato, Yamaguchi. The two indoor pools each draw from a separate spring and run as kakenagashi, with fresh water flowing through continuously. The water is clear and leaves the skin noticeably smooth, with a faint sulfur scent from the first pool. The outdoor bath is a shallow reclining style, wide enough to lie back and look up at the sky. Outside the building there is also a free foot bath and a pet bath near the entrance.
