A sodium-dominant chloride spring — salty and heat-retaining — rising at 84.8 °C, which places it among Japan's hottest natural sources. The water is weakly acidic, colorless and clear at the tap, with a faintly salty, faintly metallic tang if tasted. Moderate mineralization (3.5 g/kg of dissolved solids) gives it noticeable body and the long-lasting warmth chloride water is known for, while an unusually generous 387 mg/kg of metasilicic acid puts it squarely in Japan's beauty-water family, leaving a thin silica film that makes skin feel smoother. The sample for this certificate was taken at the storage-tank inlet rather than at the wellhead.

19. Yumetamatebako, Beppu Onsen for ¥580-¥980, depending on the day and time. There is a private bath for ¥2000, I did not use it. Opening hours are listed as 07:00 to 02:00. They stamp the Beppu Onsen stamp rally. The bath photos from the internet match the place. The condition of the bath area has noticeably worsened since 2023. On my last visit in 2026, the floor covering was in very poor condition, the shower pressure was weak, the plumbing itself looked worn out, and the utaseyu in the rotenburo was not working. Recent reviews also have a lot of negative comments. 1. Indoor bath, divided into 4 segments. There is an electric bath. The water in all segments is clear, with a slight chlorine smell. It is easy to breathe inside. 1.1. Main area, temperature 41-42 depending on the measurement point. 1.2. Middle bath, temperature 43. 1.3. Far bath, temperature 44. 1.4. Far reclining area with a TV, temperature 41. 1.5. Sauna. 1.6. Cold bath. 2. Outdoor area. There is no view, it is behind a fence. 2.1. Bath in the rock, the water is clear, temperature 41. 2.2. Area with utaseyu, but they were not working. 2.3. Steam cabinets. It is very disappointing that the condition of the bath area has worsened, especially the indoor area. If this continues, the onsen may simply not be able to compete in Beppu. 28.12.2023 04.01.2026
