Classification

Sodium Chloride spring

Yamate Onsen No. 3 is a simple thermal spring classified as hot (45.1 °C), neutral, and hypotonic. Mineralization is light at around 412 mg/kg, but the water carries a generous 105 mg/kg of metasilicic acid, leaving the kind of thin silica film that makes skin feel noticeably smoother afterwards. At the wellhead it presents as practically colorless, tasteless, and odorless — a gentle, low-stimulation entry in Beppu's hot-source roster.

109. Beppu Rakutenchi Zekkei no Yu, Beppu An onsen located inside an old amusement park. Park admission is 1300, and the onsen seems to be included. The park is very Showa-era — for fans, it might be really captivating. Stamp available. Shower, soap/shampoo provided, no staff. From the bath room there's a view of the city and partially of the park, but through reinforced glass. And sitting in the actual bath you can only see the sky. Clear, hot water. If you're going to the park, I recommend the onsen too.
