YesWeekday: adults 1,200 yen / elementary school children 600 yen / toddlers (3+) free. Sat/Sun/holidays: adults 1,500 yen / elementary 700 yen / toddlers free. Rental towel included; bath towel extra 330 yen. Day-use guests use 棚湯 (women) or 大黒部 (men). Private baths not available for day-use.

The standout bath here is Tanayu (棚湯), a tiered outdoor pool where each level faces a different angle of Kurobe Gorge. On a clear day you can watch the Kurobe Gorge tramway cross the red bridge while soaking. The companion section, Daikurobu (大黒部), has a kakenagashi outdoor bath fed by free-flowing spring water, plus a dry sauna. Both sections rotate between men and women. The water is clear and famously gentle on the skin. Three private baths are also available for guests who book on the day.
