Akebono-yu (あけぼの湯) was a two-floor neighborhood sento in Funabori, Edogawa, drawing natural hot spring water. The first floor had jets, an electric bath, and a small open-air pool; upstairs was a milky circular bath, a hot tub, a cold bath, and a paid sauna with both dry and steam options. Founded in 1773 during the Edo period, it ran for 251 years before closing permanently on December 18, 2024.
