SulfurSodium-Calcium Bicarbonate-Sulfate spring

A simple sulfur spring (hydrogen sulfide subtype) — pale, clear water with the unmistakable rotten-egg note of H₂S. Weakly acidic and gentle on the skin, with metasilicic acid at 127 mg/kg leaving the kind of silica film that makes skin feel noticeably smoother afterwards. The cert was sampled at the bath inlet of a free-flowing source delivering 148 L/min.

Sulfur and acidic waters are antibacterial and keratolytic, studied for atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.

SulfurSodium-Calcium Sulfate-Bicarbonate spring

A blended simple sulfur spring (hydrogen sulfide subtype) drawing from Yunotani wells No. 1 and No. 2. At the source it reads colourless and clear, but the rotten-egg note of H₂S is unmistakable and a faint sediment appears on standing. Weakly acidic at 44 C, with 440 mg/kg of free CO2 and 10.8 mg/kg of free hydrogen sulfide; 125 mg/kg of metasilicic acid adds a smooth, faintly silky feel on the skin.
