A sodium-calcium chloride spring with a moderate salty body — 3,941 mg/kg of dissolved solids, weakly alkaline and soft on the skin. The wellhead runs at only 25.5 °C, so the bath is reheated and recirculated, served around 42 °C.

The open-air rock bath here is filled with real hot-spring water, a salty spring that keeps you warm well after you towel off. Indoors there's a carbonated soaking bath, a milky microbubble bath, and a lukewarm tub with a small jizo (地蔵) statue watching over it. A standard hot bath comes with an electric bath built in, there's a jet bath aimed at sore muscles, a cold plunge, a radiant-heat tower sauna with automatic steam bursts in the men's section, and a lower-temperature steam sauna. It's a day-use bathhouse only, with no lodging, and reviewers keep calling it good value for everything it offers. The attached restaurant is known for its buckwheat noodles.

289. Gokuraku-yu Hirakata A well-worn old super sento with onsen water, 520 yen. Listed hours are 10:00 to 02:00 on weekdays and 06:00 to 02:00 on weekends. They give a stamp for the 41 Super Sento of Kansai 24/25. Has a barber shop, restaurant, arcade games, massage chairs, a shop, and chill-out zones. Soap/shampoo is bring-your-own or buy there. Shuttle bus available. 1. Outdoor zone. 1.1. Silk bath with whitish water, temperature 40. 1.2. Stone bath, clear water, temperature 40. 1.3. Polygonal bath, clear water, temperature 38. 1.4. Steam bath. A TV is mounted there. 2. Indoor zone. 2.1. Lying jet zone for 5 people, clear water, temperature 40. 2.2. Standing/sitting jet zone for 4 people, clear water, temperature 40. 2.3. Rectangular bath + electric bath zone, clear water, temperature 40. 2.4. Sauna. 2.5. Cold bath. 2.6. Bath with old-timers. The location isn't the most convenient and the place doesn't warrant a special trip, though it's comfortable. But for locals at this price, it's a great regular spot.
