About

Megumi-no-yu is a municipal day-use bath in the Isobe onsen area of Annaka, Gunma. The salty spring water fills two indoor bath rooms, one Western-style with stone tiling and one Japanese-style built in cypress, that swap between men's and women's sides each day, plus an outdoor bath, a sauna, and a cold plunge. A separate reservation-only room offers a sunajio-buro (砂塩風呂), a sand-salt bath where you're buried in warmed mineral salt. Reviews describe it as an easygoing, old-school local spot with a big tatami rest hall to stretch out in afterward, and it's known among visitors as welcoming to people with tattoos.
