旭岳温泉 ロッジ・ヌタプカウシペあさひだけおんせん ろっじ・ぬたぷかうしぺ
Uses natural hot spring water
Shared bathing area for all genders
A hand-built wooden lodge at the foot of Asahidake, the highest peak in Hokkaido, where the owner's husband constructed the building himself over decades. The indoor baths are gender-segregated, but there is a small outdoor onsen shared between guests. The place has a Miyazaki-esque warmth to it, everything from the carved details to the floorboards feels personal and made with care.
