Jun'notoki Yugan is a day-use family bathhouse in Tamana: ten private rooms, each with its own bath, rented by the hour for up to five people. Most rooms open onto a small outdoor bath built from natural stone, and a few add extras such as a kids' slide or, in one room, an indoor round bath alongside the outdoor one. The water is changed between groups, and comes out clear and smooth on the skin. The name Yugan (湯願), meaning something like "wishes in the water," nods to Tamana's hot spring, used for more than 1,300 years and tied to a local legend about a white heron that healed itself there.
