A sodium-calcium chloride spring — salty and heat-retaining as the chloride family always is, with a softer weakly alkaline finish that keeps the skin from feeling drawn. Moderately mineralized at 3,444 mg/kg dissolved solids, it carries enough body to leave warmth lingering well after the bath. Color, taste and odor are all neutral on the certificate, so the chemistry rather than the sensory profile is what shows up in the bath.

321. Gokuraku-yu Sakai-Semboku, Osaka Super sento with natural hot spring water, an hour from Osaka station for 850-1030. Operating hours listed as 09:00-02:00 (Mon-Fri) and 06:00-02:00 (Sat-Sun). They stamp the 41 Kansai Super Sento stamp rally 24/25. Has a restaurant, massage, arcade games, and gift shop. Various anime collaborations happen here. 1. Outdoor area. 1.1. Stone bath, clear yellow water with a scent, bags inside. Temperature around 40. 1.2. Rectangular bath with TV, clear yellow water with a scent, bags inside. Temperature around 42. 2. Indoor area. Breathing is fine. 2.1. Carbonated bath, clear water, temperature around 38. 2.2. Set of jet baths. 2.3. Two electric baths. 2.4. Sauna. 2.5. Cold bath. Simple place onsen-wise, but it was cozy. Not worth a special trip, but for locals — I'd drop in.
