Yuyado Daiichi sits alone in the Yoroushi valley in eastern Hokkaido, surrounded by forest and a stream. The baths run on kakenagashi (源泉掛け流し, water flows in fresh and drains continuously), with separate indoor and outdoor baths for men and women, a large mixed rotenburo right at the river's edge, and private baths bookable at the front desk. Room options with attached outdoor baths are also available. The saunas here have their own following, winning a national sauna award in 2025. Evenings often bring sightings of the Blakiston's fish owl (shima-fukuro, シマフクロウ), a rare bird that comes to the river alongside the bathing area.
