The bath section of Alpa Komakusa sits at the foot of Mt. Akita-Komagatake (秋田駒ヶ岳, Akita-Komagatake), inside a nature and visitor center complex. There are indoor baths in hinoki cypress and stone, plus two rotenburo (露天風呂, outdoor baths), one rock-built, one hinoki, whose water is a sulfur spring kept flowing fresh (kakenagashi, 掛け流し). The outdoor baths face Lake Tazawa directly; on a clear day the whole lake is visible from the water. A rest room with tatami and a small restaurant are on site.
