74. Saiwai Onsen, Beppu True old-school onsen. During daytime hours there seems to be staff (listed as a district association office), but by default it's 100 yen into a box, stamp for passport. Inside there's one oval bath, no shower (but there are cold water taps), no shampoo/soap. Clear water and very hot — I managed to enjoy it before some guys diluted it with cold water. Recommended for old-school fans who like it hot — just hope nobody dilutes it too much.
