A strongly alkaline simple thermal spring at pH 9.9. Lightly mineralized at just 0.187 g/kg of dissolved solids and gentle on the body, yet the strong alkalinity gives a pronounced slippery feel on the skin, placing it squarely in Japan's beauty-water family. At the source the water carries a faint sulfur note.

572. Hayabusa Hot Spring, Yamanashi ★★ Onsen for 700 yen. Operating hours from 10:00 to 21:00 (closed Tue). They stamp a different stamp in the Yamanashi 100 Onsen book. The onsen has first-edition Yamanashi 100 Onsen stamp books placed around in various spots. A towel from this achievement hangs on the wall. Outdoor bath photo from the internet matches reality. Indoor bath with clear water, temperature around 41°C. A slight, proper sulfurous onsen smell. Breathing inside is fine. Clear water, temperature around 41°C. Outdoor bath in stone. View is behind a fence and trees, but very cozy. Water is clear with sparse fine white mineral deposits, smell barely noticeable. Temperature around 38-39°C. Great cozy place, recommended for a visit. 14.05.2025
