159. AMANEK BEPPU YULA-RE ★★★ Stayed overnight, located close to Beppu station. Had breakfast, a decent buffet. Not included in the Beppu Onsen-do, no stamp. Accommodation only or when checking into the neighboring partner hotel (but not always), no higaeri. The top feature of the hotel is a multi-level rooftop pool with a view that works better as an observation deck than Beppu Tower itself. The panoramic view of the city is literally about 330-340 degrees, beautiful both during the day and in the evening. There's also a separate jacuzzi bath and a sauna up there. One floor below the rooftop pool is the onsen. Bath photos from the internet, matches reality. 1. Indoor zone. Breathing is good. 1.1. Bath with clear slightly cloudy water, temperature 42. View of the city and partially the bay through glass. In the evening not great visibility, daytime view is nicer. 1.2. Sauna. 1.3. Cold bath. 2. Outdoor bath. Pleasant view of the city and partially the bay, low glass panels slightly obstruct the view when sitting in the bath. Water is clear, slightly cloudy and brownish. Temperature in the evening was 38, in the morning was 34. Amazing place to stay in Beppu: modern hotel near Beppu station, onsens with great views, pool with an incredible observation deck. Highly recommended for accommodation. 06.04.2025 07.04.2025
159. AMANEK BEPPU YULA-RE Stayed overnight. A nice modern hotel very close to the station with a scenic bath and pool (the photo attached to the post is from the rooftop where the pool is - unfortunately I didn't take other photos). Didn't take meals. No onsen-do stamp. On the top floor there's an indoor bath leading to an outdoor one. Water in both baths is hot, clear. Breathing in the indoor one is good. The main view from both baths is of the city, very pleasant, with a slight bit of the bay visible on one side. The outdoor bath has low transparent glass panels that somewhat spoil the view. On the building's rooftop there's a very impressive pool with tap water and an ultimate view (you obviously need swimwear there). I think the rooftop panorama is about 330-340 degrees, essentially like a viewing platform, and you can see better than from Beppu Tower since there's no full glazing. There's also a sauna and hot tub on the roof. Great place - if you want both an onsen and a rooftop pool, this is a sure hit. Also useful for families or mixed-gender groups.
