Hotel Zekkei no Yakata looks out over Matsushima Bay, and both the indoor and outdoor baths share that view. The spring is a simple alkaline water, smooth and slightly slippery on the skin. Some rooms come with their own attached open-air tub, so you can take in the bay in private. Day-use bathing is available, though tattoos are not permitted.
