About
Jappo no Yu (じゃっぽの湯) is the communal bathhouse of Aone Onsen (青根温泉), run by the local residents' association. "Jappo" is the word for bath in the area's dialect. It's a proper neighborhood sento (銭湯, public bathhouse) in the old sense: indoor only, compact, and busy with locals who stop in as part of their morning. The water flows fresh from the source without recirculation, and reviewers note it is gentle enough for sensitive skin. Soap and shampoo are provided free.
