Forêt de Repos

Forêt de Repos is a lodge and dome-glamping retreat in the mountains of Fukui, built around a renovated onsen ryokan formerly known as Shinrin Onsen Mirakuru-tei (森林温泉みらくる亭). The main bath, Komorebi (木もれび), sits behind a full glass wall facing the forest, so soaking feels close to a walk in the woods. The spring water is a sodium calcium sulfate type, clear and gentle on the skin. There's also a reservation-only private bath, Shiun (紫水), with its own window onto the seasonal scenery, though that one runs on regular hot water rather than the spring. Day-use bathing is open to non-guests, and the property, once a base for school training camps, now combines dome glamping with its original lodge rooms.
