Ama no Shima has its own hot spring source, drawn from 1,500 meters underground, unusual for a ryokan in this part of Ise-Shima. The spring flows generously enough that it goes straight into the baths without dilution, and guests often mention how smooth it leaves their skin. The bath hall has an indoor bath with a cypress tub and an open-air rock bath overlooking Toba Bay, and the two bathrooms swap between men and women through the stay. It's an older, well-kept ryokan with sea-view guest rooms and meals built around local Ise-Shima seafood.
