About

Saika no Yado Tatami sits in Yamashiro Onsen (山代温泉) in Ishikawa, and its roots go back over 80 years to a small restaurant (ryotei, 料亭) that supplied food to the local inns before eventually becoming one itself. The water is smooth and mild on the skin, and the spring is one of the few in the area cleared for drinking. The baths include gender-separated indoor pools open nearly around the clock, a private open-air bath reserved free once per stay for lodging guests, and a handful of rooms with their own kakenagashi (源泉かけ流し) semi-open-air bath. There is also a footbath on the grounds. No day-use bathing is available.
