Hanatsubaki

Hanatsubaki's outdoor bath, called Yuhata, is a riverside noten-buro (野天風呂) in Kaga, where bathers descend 71 uneven stone steps to reach the water beside a gentle mountain stream. The spring is a calcium-sodium sulfate type. Swimwear-equivalent yuami-gi are required for the mixed section. The descent is not trivial, but the sound of the river and the natural stone setting are the reward.
