Sakura no Yu is a day-use onsen complex near Yahiko Shrine in Niigata. The water is 100% natural spring water with a faint sulfurous character. Outside, a large open-air bath (rotenburo) anchors the bathing lineup, joined by tsubo-yu (壷湯, individual soaking tubs), a reclining bath, and a seated hip bath. Inside there is a sauna with a cold plunge. For something different, the ganbanyoku (岩盤浴, heated stone floor) section has 26 beds across five types of stone. A free foot bath is available too, along with a restaurant and rest areas with manga for unwinding between sessions.
