A sodium-led chloride and bicarbonate spring rising at a punchy 75.8 °C — among Japan's hotter natural sources, with the salty, heat-retaining body typical of Shirahama. Moderately mineralized at 7.1 g/kg, weakly alkaline and clear at the wellhead. Metasilicic acid at 125.7 mg/kg leaves the kind of silica film that places it squarely in Japan's beauty-water family.

626. Nanki-Shirahama Marriott Hotel, Shirahama, Wakayama ★ Higaeri for 1100, unlimited small towels in the changing room. Higaeri stated as 12:00 to 21:00 (from 14:30 on Mondays for men and from 14:30 on Tuesdays for women). Part of the Shirahama tegata (2 stickers). They sell the 12 Onsen of Wakayama stamp. Good service level at reception. In summer at 30 degrees it was very comfortable in the changing room, the indoor bath, and the outdoor bath (which is quite elevated and well-ventilated). Outdoor bath. View of the city and bay, but through a glass fence. Standing at the edge you can see Shirahama's main beach. Once you sit down in the bath, the view disappears. Clear water, 43 degrees. Indoor bath with clear water, 41.5 degrees. View of buildings and forest. Good air inside. Solid place, worth keeping in mind when visiting Shirahama. 17.06.2025
