A small ryokan in the Hagenoyu Onsen (はげの湯温泉) area of Waita Onsenkyo (わいた温泉郷), built from reclaimed farmhouse timber with an old-Japan feel to match. Five of the eight Japanese-style rooms have their own in-room baths, and the shared rotenburo (open-air baths) and indoor baths run around the clock, with a male/female switch at 10 pm. The water carries floating yuno-hana (湯の花, bath crystals). Geothermal steam rises from the ground right in front of the inn and also powers the kitchen, where mountain ingredients are steam-cooked for meals.
