About

The bath sits on the fifth floor of a roadside station in Asamushi, a single indoor tub behind big windows looking out over Mutsu Bay and Yu-no-shima island. There's no rotenburo and no private bath, just one plain room, and the water itself is clear with a faint trace of sulfur that leaves the skin feeling smooth. Bring your own soap and shampoo, the wash stations don't supply them. Downstairs there's a farmers market and gift shop, and a restaurant and kids' corner on the third floor, so it works better as a stop along the way than a destination in itself.
