About

At 1,100 meters inside Kurikoma Quasi-National Park, Sukawa Onsen Kurikoma Sanso (須川温泉 栗駒山荘) sits at the edge of a high alpine plateau. The panoramic outdoor bath, called Sennin-no-yu (仙人の湯), looks out toward Chokai-san and the Sukawa highland wetlands. The water is strongly acidic and runs through fresh without recirculation. An indoor bath with large windows offers the same mountain outlook. The lodge takes both overnight guests and day visitors, but only during the open season, roughly late spring through early November when the mountain road allows.
