Yumotokan

A large outdoor rotenburo and an indoor rock bath sit at the end of a forest path in the rice-paddy countryside of Minamiuonuma. The water is an alkaline simple spring with a faint sulfur note, fed continuously from one of the most generous sources in the prefecture. Mixed bathing runs on a time-rotation with the gender-separated hours, so families often make the trip specifically for the konyoku session.
