Minyo no Yado Azumaya (民謡の宿 あづまや), whose name means "folk song inn," has been running in Higashine Onsen (東根温泉) since 1910. The indoor bath is gender-separated and fed by the inn's own spring; the amber-colored water feels slightly slippery on the skin. Folk music plays at a low murmur through the lobby, a nod to the name without being overwhelming. Day-use bathing is available, and overnight guests can use the bath at any hour.
